The love of my so weary life
poetry by: Kamryn Olds
The love of my so weary life is gone,
A day ago left me alone in rain;
So done was I, a girl whose heart shat on;
Not then did I think I could stand the pain;
How lovely was the one who left me there,
How soft his face that often looked at me,
With eyes that seemed to be without a care
And lips that tasted of a man so free;
So never thought that our good love would end,
Nor that his heart would leave for ’nother one;
Yet, now there is not single thing to mend,
And I am left alone as tears now run;
He often said that he went with the wind
So sad his girl was woman in the end
